Shorter Weeks & Longer Weekends for Technicians

There’s no catch! In line with PMC’s vision to become a GREAT place to work, we want to offer options that promote a healthy work/life balance. For the past three years, our service technicians have been asked to pull more load than ever during historic business levels and with significant staffing shortages. The Short Schedule provides options for PMC technicians to work a shorter week (compressed number of days) with longer weekend periods for rest and relaxation.

Those who select the Short Schedule will be assigned initially to either work Monday through Thursday with Friday off or off on Monday and work Tuesday through Friday. Following the completion of every 4th week (excluding those weeks which include a company holiday), the schedule will rotate resulting in a 4-day weekend (Fri-Mon) for those that were on the Mon-Thurs schedule and they would then begin on the Tues-Friday schedule.

The following holidays are recognized by PMC and are provided to our employees for enjoyment and relaxation: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas (2 days).

Yes! Active full-time employees with at least six months of service and at least 19 years old are eligible. Entry dates are January 1 and July 1. Employees may contribute a designated amount of their gross wages on a pre-tax basis (subject to a maximum dollar amount established by law). PMC will match a minimum of $.50 for every $1.00 contributed up to 6% of the employee’s gross pay. Employees currently have a wide selection of funds to direct the investment of their 401(k) accounts.
